We were delighted to receive these photos and video clips of the recent school Speech Day. A very colourful stage was set up for the children to show off their many talents in music, dance and drama to the assembled audience of parents and other relatives.
They were treated to a fine display of dancing and music with the children looking resplendent in their bright colourful uniforms.
During the Speech Day, the head teacher highlighted the recent school building developments, in particular, the newly completed toilet and shower blocks. These have provided the children with brand new facilities and for the first-time separate privacy for boys and girls.
The vast majority of funding came from our Auntie Agnes UK Support Community and all of you that contributed in one way or another.
We were pleased to learn that the school is also contributing towards the finishing touches of the building, with regards to the outside paint work and some doors. We look forward to see the toilets and bathrooms fully operational anytime now.
Parents and relatives were taken on a tour of the new facilities and reports back from Father Charles showed they were very impressed and extremely grateful for the support and funding.
This latest project adds to the recently completed library and the ongoing supply of books from the charity.
Looking forward to future projects and funding, it has been suggested that the school would benefit from the construction and supply of new water tanks. This would have the dual benefit of reducing the cost of buying water from the government and protecting the environment by saving precious rain water to use where possible.
Next challenge for us…………………….. raise some more funds!
