July 2023: A big Thank You to Cardinal Newman School
As the sun set on another school year, a heartwarming campaign from Coral Class at Cardinal Newman School brought hope that surpassed borders and united two communities in an act of loving kindness. The children of Coral Class, led by their teachers, Mrs Kareem and Mrs Mears embarked on a mission that would engage the whole community. Their efforts not only exemplified the true spirit of giving but also demonstrated how small acts of generosity can make a profound impact on the lives of our friends far away.
At the end of term, the children were encouraged to partake in a noble cause - donating good quality second-hand shoes to aid our charity's mission to support the children at Auntie Agnes School. The response was overwhelming, as the whole community embraced the opportunity to support this community by donating many pairs of preloved and good quality shoes, in addition to donating collectively a substantial amount of £182.75 to aid in covering the logistics of sending the shoes to Uganda.
Their thoughtful gesture not only eased the burden on our charity but also touched our hearts deeply, affirming the indomitable spirit of compassion that knows no boundaries.
Thank you to all that helped making this possible, especially our deepest gratitude to all children in Coral Class, Mrs Kareem and Mrs Mears, the school leaders and the entire school community for their overwhelming kindness and support.
We will love to share with you the response we receive, in a few months’ time, when the shoes arrive!
